Hi my name's Martin, I’ve always had a passion for anything skin and hair related and being deeply passionate about helping people, so it was natural for me to want to do something to bring a smile to peoples faces which led me to train in facial aesthetics and hair loss treatments. My ultimate goal is to restore smiles and boost confidence among my clients, through a range of treatments i aim to achieve noticeable results. Situated in the vibrant heart of Colchester city centre MG Aesthetics & PRP Clinic is centrally located.

If I stop having anti wrinkle injections will my wrinkles get worse?No! This is a common myth. If you stop the treatment even after years of having it, the only effects is that your wrinkles will return as normal, albeit a bit more slowly than if you had not been having them. It’s true: even after you stop, you will still look younger than you would have if you had never been injected.

How long to anti wrinkle injections last?On average between 3-6 months, however top up treatments are recommended at 3-4 months.

Are there any side effects of Microneedling?There are a few temporary side effects to be aware of with microneedling. The procedure causes short-term swelling, redness, tiny scabs, and skin flaking, which can last for a few days. Don’t be alarmed, this is just cell renewal as new skin grows back! Most people can return to their normal skin routine after 2-3 days.

Am I a good candidate for PRP for hair loss?Whilst most people are an excellent candidate for PRP, for example those who are the right candidate for an hair transplant or suffer with thinning hair, there are some circumstances were some are not suitable for the treatment. PRP is not recommended for those who are completely bald, who suffers with cancer, alcohol & drug abuse, sepsis, thyroid disease, metabolic disorder, skin disease, low platelet count, chronic infections, and those who are on blood thinning medications.The treatment has a 70-90 percent success rate.

Is a vampire facial worth it?Yes! A vampire facial can be used for many skin concerns. By reintroducing the plasma back into the skin, cell turnover is encouraged, which leads to an increase of collagen and elastin production. Your skin will look smoother, tighter and fuller.

What is the satisfaction rate for Nasol fold filler?The satisfaction rate is very high, results are immediate. The other benefit, is that the filler stimulates the patient’s own collagen in the area of injection over time (due to stretching of the fibroblasts), this means that the result may even be improved after the filler has dissolved. This is very commonly seen in the nasolabial fold area.

Is there an alternative treatment for under eyes that doesn’t involve Tear trough filler?Absolutely! Not everyone wants to go down the route of filler and would rather a more natural approach. Here at MG aesthetics, we offer PRP treatment under the eyes alone or combined with mesotherapy. PRP is an effective treatment for the under-eye area as it increases blood vessel growth and encourages collagen promoting, resulting in a refreshed and youth appearance. New blood vessels in the under-eye area allow nutrients and oxygen into the skin, resulting in a decrease of puffiness and loose undereye skin is tightened.
